Prague, 20 January 2026 – Milan Macholan, CEO of PBS Velka Bites, member of PBS GROUP, has received the Personality of the Year 2025 award presented by Review magazine in the field of the defence and security industry. The award was presented to him by Jaromir Zuna, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic. The award recognises his long-term managerial work, strategic leadership of the company, and the results achieved by PBS Velka Bites under his leadership.
Milan Macholan has been at the helm of PBS Velka Bites since 2003. Under his leadership, the company has experienced sustained growth, significantly strengthened its position in the defence and aerospace industries, and systematically invested in the development of production capacities, advanced technologies, and research and development.
In 2025, PBS Velka Bites implemented investments of nearly CZK 1 billion aimed at the development of its production plant. These investments primarily focused on further expansion of production capacities, the introduction of cutting-edge technologies, and the strengthening of research and development activities, including the recruitment of new employees across various professions.
The results of this long-term strategy are reflected in record-breaking financial performance. In 2024, the company exceeded annual revenues of CZK 2 billion for the first time in its history, reaching CZK 2.7 billion last year.

Milan Macholan graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Brno University of Technology. He joined PBS Velka Bites in 1993 as a sales representative in the aerospace technology division and gradually advanced to the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Today, he is a respected figure in the Czech aerospace and engineering industries and has long been actively involved in the development of the company’s export activities in key global markets.
