The Chicken Wings team from BUT designed and built the unmanned aircraft Asterix to compete in the Micro Class category. Their innovative design emphasized maximum payload capacity with minimum weight, incorporating advanced engineering solutions. With Asterix, they represented their university at the renowned SAE Aero Design competition held in California.

Competing against teams from all over the world, Chicken Wings delivered an excellent performance — earning 3rd place overall and a remarkable 2nd place in the flight performance evaluation.

PBS GROUP was proud to sponsor the project and to support the development of young engineering talent and innovation in aviation. We congratulate the team on their outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next!
