The firefighting drone with PBS engine

Our turbine engines are part of a number of interesting development projects literally all over the world. This one comes from Scandinavia.

AUTONOMOUS AND REMOTE-CONTROLLED MACHINES

Swedish company ACC Group AB, based in Åtvidaberg, Östergötland, is no newcomer to the field of autonomous and remotely controlled machines. For example, it produces the commercially very successful V8 series underwater drones, which are now serving ocean scientists and industrial companies literally all over the world.

COMPLETE RANGE OF DRONES

However, Claes Drougge, founder and CEO of ACC Group, also came up with the idea of the Thunderwasp heavy flying quad-rotor drone a few years ago. This is a comprehensive range of modular design drones, powered by piston or turbine engines, but always using a patented propulsion system providing mechanical drive to the rotors.

TURBOSHAFT ENGINE PBS TS100

For the special firefighting version of the drone, the Swedish company chose our PBS TS100 turboshaft engine which caught the Swedish manufacturer's attention both for its small dimensions and its ability to operate at high altitudes.
