The PBS Group consists of three companies: První brněnská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a. s. is a prominent global manufacturer of high-speed turbines for the aerospace, power and transportation industries and has an established reputation as an expert in the field of precision engineering. PBS ENERGO, a.s. focuses on the development, production, delivery, and servicing of steam and expansion turbines; and První brněnská strojírna, a. s. supplies complex power equipment with a special focus on industrial boilers.

PBS Velká Bíteš is also a leading European company in the area of precision casting, and in particular operates as a highly reliable supplier of castings for the power, transportation, aerospace and glass industries. PBS Velká Bíteš secures professional galvanic surface treatment and highly precise machining, even for difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys.

PBS ENERGO, a.s. is a prominent Czech company operating in the power industry with clients all over the world. The company’s programme focuses on steam back-pressure and condensation turbines, expansion gas turbines, the delivery of turbosets and the associated operating and construction units. The company offers its customers the comprehensive construction, production, assembly and the associated technology not only for its own turbosets, but also for the creation of technological and power units. An integral part of the company’s services is the provision of long-term full-service for turbosets.

Flight tests of turboshaft engine TS 100 in the T-250 helicopter.

First flight of VUT061 Turbo with a TP100 turboprop engine.

Commencement of the serial production of jet engine TJ100.

Commencement of the production of decanter centrifuges.

Establishment of a precision casting foundry in PBS Velká Bíteš.

Founding of PBS in Velká Bíteš, construction of the first production halls.

Bombardment and destruction of a large number of První brněnská factories in Brno.

Creation of the PBS brand.

First steam turbine manufactured under the Parsons lincense.
1837
Relocation of the machine works to Brno on Olomouc Street and commencement of production.
1824
The first Luz steam engine in operation, and the granting of privileges for the construction of steam engines and boilers.
1814
Establishment of the machine works in Šlapanice, the foundation of První brněnská strojírna by Jan Reiff.
