The close and direct cooperation with globally significant partners demonstrates unique capabilities and know-how of PBS Velká Bíteš
The Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic,
Jana Černochová, visited the production facility of our company as part of her tour of key enterprises of the Czech defence industry. She had the opportunity to personally learn about the high level of aircraft engines and other products designed for the aerospace industry, which are developed and manufactured in Velká Bíteš.
During her visit,
the Minister of Defence met with Pavel Čechal, the Vice President of Operations of PBS GROUP, with
Milan Macholán, the Chief Executive Officer of PBS Velká Bíteš and other company representatives. They informed her, among other things, of the intention to double the production of turbine engines for various types of mainly defence unmanned applications over the next year.
The participants also discussed the memoranda which PBS Velká Bíteš signed this year with American aerospace manufacturers, the companies Lockheed Martin and Pratt & Whitney.
“This means a significant progress for our company, given that we have demonstrated our ability to collaborate with the largest companies in the world on joint projects,” said Pavel Čechal, the Vice President of Operations of PBS GROUP, during the briefing with journalists.
Minister of Defence Jana Černochová also took a keen interest in the cooperation between PBS Velká Bíteš and Ukrainian and Israeli partners.
The fight against hybrid threats in various forms, which we have also been dealing with recently, formed another topic of the discussion.
“These are attempts to penetrate the company’s internal systems or attempts to discredit the company or even to buy it out,” said
Milan Macholán, the CEO of PBS Velká Bíteš. As part of the issue, we discussed the possibility of involving the army, specifically active reserves from our region, in an exercise aimed at protecting the buildings of the PBS Velká Bíteš production area.
