Discover PBS TJ100P, latest addition to PBS turbojet engines family
With more than 2,500 turbojet engines delivered worldwide, PBS is world’s well known turbojet engine supplier. The very high quality and reliability of PBS jet engines is reflected in the fact they have been installed in over 1,300 aircraft worldwide. With certification to European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards, their quality makes them stand out from competing engines in their category.
The unique ability of PBS to carry out in-house design and development, manufacture and testing of small Turbojet, Turboprop and Turboshaft engines, Auxiliary power units (APU) and Environmental control systems (ECS) in accordance with global aerospace standards has greatly contributed to its enduring success on the global market.
Long-term continuous development and proven product quality is the only way to succeed in the market among competitors. Developing new technologies is a major challenge in the aerospace industry and companies know, they can’t rest on their laurels.
This year PBS Velka Bites announced a further step to expand the range of capabilities available to the market with the introduction of two new versions of turbojet engines – PBS TJ100P and PBS TJ40G1NS, and other interesting projects.

Versatile PBS TJ100P

PB TJ100P is an oil-free version of PBS worldwide recognized and operated PBS TJ100 turbojet engine brings many interesting features. With PBS TJ100P, PBS is offering the customers an excellent weight-to-thrust ratio, versatility and further extend the capabilities of medium turbojet engines. It can be used by manufacturers of target drones, modern UAV and UCAV systems.
Compared to the original version, the advantage of the PBS TJ100P engine is its lower weight, so customers will certainly enjoy lower sales costs. Oil-free version makes it easier to store and operate the engine. It is not necessary to pour oil from the fuel tank after operating the engine. The engine can be stored and operated in any position - there is no restriction of the angles of inclination during flight and take-off.
The PBS TJ100P turbojet engine allows integrated architecture of up to 2 converters with power output of up to 2.3kW, which means that the motor meets modern UAV systems high power supply requirements. This also reduces weight of the batteries. The engine is started electrically and allows to start in flight.

Main features:
›    Oil-free version
›    Excellent thrust-to-weight ratio
›    No limitation of engine position at the time of launch
›    User-friendly storage
›    Low weight –2 kg weight saving compared to engine versions with autonomous oil system

Aviation Industry Challenges

In recent years, the aviation industry has faced a turning point stemming from the need to move to intelligent and sustainable technologies and systems in a relatively short period of time. One of the greatest challenges is reducing of the environmental footprint. Environmental. The European Commission plans to make Europe the world's first climate-neutral continent by 2050. Reducing emissions will require large-scale innovation, and this is an opportunity for non-fossil fuels and hybrid aircraft. PBS thus welcomes the possibility of cooperating with Airbus on the supply of cryogenic turboexpanders for the development of liquefied hydrogen powered aircraft.
